New Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Division of Ground Water Protection
Rule 1260-2-.37 Septic System Inspection Letters was added as a new rule by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC) to take effect February 16, 2008. This rule states that a licensee preparing an offer to buy must provide in the offer and make the buyer aware that, for a fee, a septic system inspection letter is available through the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Division of Ground Water Protection.
